As I've mentioned in previous posts, Larry and I are trying to see as many things as we can from the book "1,000 Places To See Before You Die in the USA and Canada". One of these locations is Springfield, IL for historical Abraham Lincoln sites. We took a day trip in July and had a great time. My history buff husband, who would rather watch The History Channel than football, especially enjoyed it.

A fantastic museum! One of Lincoln's three remaining top hats is here, along with the bloodied gloves he had in his pocket the night of his assasination.
